I've been trying to set up a large email list using either the iPhone's mail app or Gmail's mobile web-based service.  I'm going to want to attach a picture taken from the iPhone so I can't just create a draft and then send when it's ready.  My current workaround is to create the list in the Gmail desktop client, save it as a draft, and then copy and paste in the iPhone (thankfully this is at least an option now), but things get a little sloppy when the iPhone tries to translate all those commas and spaces.  The list is mostly going to end up in the Bcc field so I'm particularly wary of messing anything up.

Why hasn't Gmail or Apple built this into their products?  Seems like a pretty basic function to me.
